The front nine
The elevated tee on the fifth, looking down the fairway to the creek. Mowed rough, mature oaks both sides, mid-morning light. Landscape, 1200 pixels wide or better.
- 1–3Open and forgiving. Three is reachable in two downwind, which is how a lot of rounds start optimistically.
- 4–6The trees close in. Four and six both bend right off the tee, and the creek crosses in front of five at 280.
- 7A short par three over the pond. Wind off the ridge makes club selection an argument every single time.
- 8–9Uphill back to the clubhouse. Nine plays a full club longer than the yardage says.
The back nine
- 10–12Out along the ridge. Twelve is the postcard, 163 yards over the hollow to a green that slopes hard back to front.
- 13–15Longest stretch on the course. Thirteen and sixteen are the two holes that decide most matches.
- 16–18Downhill finish. Eighteen is drivable for the brave and a bogey for most of them.
The twelfth green from the tee, across the wooded hollow. Flag visible, autumn colour on the far bank, late afternoon. Landscape, 1200 pixels wide or better.
